Worst Italian food ever!!! Never will return. Salad was terrible hardly any dressing. Menu was extremely limited. I ordered the chicken parm and it was a dried up piece of hard chicken covered in cheap sauce over Luke warm tasteless noodles. I left the whole plate. Everything was priced very cheaply but this was reflected in the quality of the food. My family and I ended up going to Subway afterwards for a sandwich. It is apparent that the business model of this place is to lure people in with low prices but not good food

Good jazz music, poor quality food and service. Unfortunately, we are always disappointed going to this restaurant.

It's been a little while since we've been here. Arrived this afternoon to meet the wife and mother in law at our new house, we decided to go to this restaurant. It's been a little while since we've been here, but we remembered the food to be really delicious. Also, we've discovered that they have a Thursday special with drinks and most of the food being $5! Can't beat that and we were so hungry, we ordered quite of but of food and drinks. We had the house salad, calamari, pizza bianco, spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp pasta, and ravioli All of these items were delicious! Our waiter was fantastic on a busy Thursday evening. He stopped by to make sure if we needed anything else, refilled our waters, and asked if we wanted any more cocktails/beer. We did order quite of bit more drinks. What really impressed my family and I was the General Manager (Greg). He remembers me from a few years back! What a great memory! He also gave us a comp charcuterie plate which is highly recommended. Even though it was accidentally tacked onto our final bill, we brought it to our waiters attention and he immediately corrected it and apologized and also provided us with a dessert! Given that we were the only Asians in that restaurant, they made us feel like we were regulars and felt right at home. Greg visited our table several times to make sure everything was ok. After a long 9 hour drive from SoCal, going to Ghidotti's made my day and an evening of a good family dinner, Italian style. Since we now have our second home here, we can't wait to become regulars. Thanks Greg!

I forgot the last time I had such a bad experience dinning out. Service was horrendous from the beginning! No water refills - my husband ended up drinking my water. When I asked the server if I could have some Parmesan cheese on my pasta he replied "yeah", went to get it, served me and turned away without even looking at my husband that was also having a pasta dish. On top of that, both pasta dishes were uncooked and the pastas (ravioli and tortellini) where incredibly thick and hard. I could have cooked something much better at home. Bad service + bad food. I will definitely not go back to this place and will encourage people not to go.

Wow...$5 Thursdays are amazing in the summer! We came in and enjoyed different pastas, pizzas and the amazing summer sangria. Our server was amazing and kept apologizing that there were not many gluten free options for my sister-in-law. The restaurant is large and beautifully decorated. This is a must visit on a Thursday night in the summer...there is no better deal around!

Consistently great food and service. Their Thurs specials are the best deal in town. Their family to-go dinners are also amazing. Everything on the menu is a winner. The staff even went out of their way to make my young daughters happy.

The food was awesome the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect. I didn't feel as if I was in Utah. Best of all was the service I received from David. What an awesome guy and experience. I highly recommend this place. I'm in Utah every summer and this place is going to become a tradition.

Horrible. Hands down, the worst food we had while in Park City. Seriously, Del Taco was better than this place. On the day we got food from here, my BF had torn his ACL. We'd actually had reservations at Chimayo (owned by the same folks), but had to cancel. I called in an order for the Family of Four pack (focaccia bread, choice of a salad, and choice of pasta dish...we got the penne with Bolognese). The guy who took my order said it would be 35-40 minutes. I arrived during that window...and didn't leave with my food until an hour after I called it in. And they weren't busy. My first guess should have been when I saw a group leaving and someone in the group had left a to-go container of food on the hostess stand. I followed them out to let them know they'd left it behind and they said "it's fine. It was horrible." I thought they were just being snarky, but they were right. The penne wasn't cheesy at all, and tasted like it was out of a can and was lukewarm (not hot). The bread wasn't warm at all. And the salad tasted funny (like too much vinegar or something, we couldn't put our fingers on it, exactly). Anyway, makes me wonder what my fellow Yelpers were thinking with this place averaging out to 4 stars. Yelp is usually right on the money, but they completely missed the boat on this one.

Located in the strip mall area across from the outlets, so it is not in town and easy to find parking. The food was excellent, on par with Italian that I have had in major cities across the country. The price was reasonable for utah and much cheaper than many competitive offerings in Park City. The restaurant was spacious and clean with reasonable decor. We went on a Sunday evening so the restaurant was only 1/3 full. The service was adequate, but not great, and if the restaurant had been busy might have been poor. The serving staff was polite but not well trained, or especially interested. Had the staff matched the quality from the kitchen, then this would have been a five star review.

First time eating here. The food and service were very good. The pork osobuco was very tender and tasty. My wife had shrimp scampi and ravioli with a white sauce that she loved. My daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs which she said were delicious. Tom was our waiter and provided great recommendations and service. We would definitely eat here again. The lounge had music and we wish we could have stayed.

I don't understand how come people don't like here. They have very good service and the food is really great. Try the calamari and the pasta. It is delicious! Thursday is the special. Great deal! Top of my list in park city!

Pretty good restaurant at fairly reasonable prices. We were able to use a coupon from the Marriott Mountainside which helped the bill out to get a free entree. The food was very good and the server was very nice. The best dish was the pork osso bucco as it was marinated for 24 hours and definitely had an excellent flavor. It came with a savory bread pudding and was an great dish that I probably have never had before. Dinner: -Aged provolone "frico" - good -Cast iron mussels - ok -Pork osso bucco - excellent -Seared sea scallops - good -Beef braciola - good

Very top notch and wonderfully Classic Italian food. You'll enjoy the regular entrees and you'll like the specials too. Come hungry. Wear nice clothes. This place is semi casual. I love it.

Better off with Stofer's. It's not that the food is revolting, there' just no good reason to go here. The ambiance is the best thing this restaurant has going on and it's just okay. The menu is basically a supplicate for the Olive Garden: very Americanized, nothing tastes particularly fresh. Sauces are no better than good canned sauces. Everything was underwhelming. Prices are decent, however. If you look at most of the reviews, they say the same thing but are more generous in rating.

We had friends in town, one being a vegetarian, with both of them indicating they really liked Italian food. We chose to go to Ghidotti's, sat outside and had a terrific experience. We started out with a vegetarian appetizer, the bruschetta with heirloom tomatoes, quite a hit with our group. The salads were both sumptuous and tasty. For entrees, we ordered the pork osso bucco, chicken parmesan, scallops, and for our vegetarian friend the semolina gnocchi. Everyone raved about their entrees, especially significant with the vegetarian diner in our group. We finished with a light gelato, perfect after a rather large meal. Our server David was great - friendly, there when we needed him there, and discreetly observant otherwise. Greg and his team delivered an outstanding dining experience for us this past weekend, and we'll be back soon!

First, Jonathan Lynch is an exceptional waiter; personable, attentive and as good as they get! Period. On to the place; warm, cozy, and romantic. A great place to bring your love after a day on the mountain. Let's talk food. I know Italian and can speak pasta with the best of them. It's made here and is drop dead good. I had the mushroom tortellini and it is the best I have ever had. Melt in your mouth delicious! The love of my life had the filet and it also was phenomenal; cooked to perfection. Even the croutons on the house salad were freshly made, warm and crispy, but with a little bit of chewy on the inside. Just perfect. Desert. I am not a desert person, but you have definitely stumbled and lost your mind if you don't go BIG. Get the cannoli and the gelato sampler! I mean it, go friggin' big! I weighed 170 going in and 200 coming out. It is worth it! This is the place. Don't question it; just go. You can thank me later. 'Nuf said.

Had a wonderful time here! Can't beat great food, ambiance, and service. Came here on a recommendation from a friend/local who comes here all the time. We had the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and the Chicken Parmesan. Both were amazingly delicious! To top it all off for desert we had the cannolis with cherries. Great service from David and met the manager Greg, very friendly and professional. We can't wait to go back!

Took my wife for Valentines Day and it was perfect. I arrived at 6:15pm for our 6:15pm reservation and was seated right away. The atmosphere was great - warm, inviting and elegant. For starters we ordered a cup of the potato bacon chowder and the Aged Provolone Frico appetizer. The chowder was a bit watery for my taste but it had great flavor. The provolone which was delicious was served in a skillet with crustini bread. Who does't love melted cheese? They also serve warm focaccia bread with a garlic dipping sauce that is very tasty. This is a huge plus in my book. For our entrees the wife ordered the Squash Gnocchi and I had the homemade linguine with shrimp served in a hazelnut pesto sauce. Mine blew me away, I am a huge hazelnut fan and never even thought of a pesto sauce prepared that way. My wife didn't care for the gnocchi which I thought were fine but its not something I would order. Our waiter was amazing. He quickly took it away and allowed her to order something else. She had the Lasagna which she loved, nice tomato flavor and full of cheese and meat. Yes, I sampled a taste. All in all, they did a great job even when an issue occurred that really wasn't their fault. They made us feel welcome and we will definitely be going back. The total for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 soda was $115 including tip.

Visited this restaurant on our trip to park city. Ordered 6 different dishes and consistently bland and flavors off-base. This was a very uninspiring Italian meal and prices were well above quality level.

We come to this restaurant every year when we are in Park City. Tonight, my entree was butternut squash gnocchi, and it was delicious! Our server, Jonathon (correct spelling), was great. Fast, funny, and friendly. Thanks for a great evening!

We had a really great experience here, mostly due to the fantastic service provided by Joey and Dave D last Thursday evening. They really went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying every minute of our time there, which we were. The food was also fantastic, although it turns out I am not a big fan of the butternut squash gnocchi i ordered, but the lasagna and creme brulee were nothing short of delicious. Decent wine selection, fair prices. I would most definitely go back here again, as long as the staff we had on Thursday is on shift again!

Ate here with 5 of my girlfriends during Sundance. Reservations were simple, the atmosphere was charming, the service was amazing and the food was absolutely wonderful. Pricing was not too shabby. I would recommend this for a large dinner party or also a nice romantic date night.

We went to Ghidotti's from a recommendation from a person staying near us at Park City RV resort. The restaurant has a very inviting atmosphere and the menu has several offerings but it is not overwhelming. I had the Lasagna which was outstanding. I thought it may have been too to eat much but it was so good I devoured it. The most exceptional part of our dining experience in addition to the food was our waitperson, Kelly. She was outstanding. Very attentive to our needs. We did not plan on stopping in Park City on our way to Denver but a heart incident required an overnight stay at a Park City Hospital. We will be sure to stop on our return trip so we can return to Ghidotti's for another dinner hopefully with Kelly as our waitperson. Thank's Kelly Joe and Colleen

Very nice place. Not as casual as I thought. Bordering on Fancy? Food was very good. Osso Buco was great. Savory bread pudding was like an Italian seasoned stuffing. It was ok. Dish was borderline over spiced but cooked perfectly! Lasagna was wonderful. Old school style. Picatta?? I would pass. Ask for a chicken version and skip the Salmon. Oh.... And ask for Johnny. He was excellent. Could not ask for a better waiter. Thanks Johnny!!!

Fabulous food and absolutely terrific homemade noodles, you can tell they're made in-house and they're just great. We had Tom as our server and he had a very thorough knowledge of the menu, made great recommendations, and overall provided top quality service and just took great care of us! Definitely recommend as one of the best Italian restaurants in PC. Plus beautiful ambiance.

Horrible & Disgusting. I don't see how this place stays open. The decor looks like Christmas threw up in Long Island, and the food is worse. The menu is lacking in the majority of classic Italian staples. And the ones that they do have are exceedingly subpar. This place makes the Olive Garden look like 5 star dining.

We had a great experience here! Food was delicious and it was so great to have such wonderful service. Tyler's service was fantastic and Gregg was so nice when he came by the table. All the staff work together and the teamwork shows by delivering great service. Thank you!

Would give it 2.5 stars if possible. The food was hit and miss, but all of it definitely too pricey for what it was. Service was very inattentive and some times even rude-ish, the server seemed annoyed and he rarely stopped by the table after he took our order. The restaurant itself is beautifully done, but the food and especially the service did not live up to the setting.

I was visiting Park City a few weeks ago and had an excellent meal at Ghidottis. I had the Pork Ossa Bucca and it was great. My server, Spencer, really made our meal an enjoyable experience. The next time I'm in Park City, I'm definitely coming back.

First time visitors to Park City, we found this place while driving around the shopping center. It looked very inviting from the outside so my wife and I decided to stop in for dinner. Turns out it was their "$5 Thursdays" which meant a limited menu - with most selections priced at only $5. (Some were also priced at $8, which was rather weird.) This seems to bring in the octogenerains. Anyway we ordered Bruschetta, Shrimp Ravioli and Chicken Alfredo. The Bruschetta ($8) was very good. The Shrimp Ravioli ($8) was decent, but you only get 5 pieces and the alfredo sauce was a bit watery. I received a larger portion on the Chicken Alfredo ($5). It was OK, but the sauce had too much salt. Happily, my Manhattan was excellent. Our waitress advised that their special dessert that night was peach cobbler. We were told on an earlier tour that Utah grows excellent peaches, so we figured this was a good way to end the meal. Unfortunately what we were given was a poor impression of peach cobbler IMO. Perhaps it's my limited culinary exposure, but all the various fruit cobblers I've had over the past 50 years were all served hot - with a scoop of ice cream. This one was basically right out of the refrigerator - swimming in some sort of overly sweet liquid and topped with gelato. The crust was very hard and the peaches had the taste and texture of canned fruit. We both had a couple bites, but were really disappointed. I advised the mgr who said they always serve it cold during the summer. Different strokes I guess, but for me, I'll always take it hot. He did comp the dessert which was appreciated. Overall I'd give this place 3 stars. I'm deducting another star for the booby-trapped bread basket. (You'll understand if it happens to you.)

We loved this upscale Italian place! We were a bit hesitant after some of the weaker reviews but here was our experience: excellent food, beautiful ambiance, great service. It was a bit slow but not terribly so. That would be the only thing I would note. If you are in a great hurry, this may not be your first choice. However, if you want a leisurely, wonderful experience, come here. The balsamic reduction that comes with the bread was unique. We also sampled the minestrone (meaty and spicy), the chicken parm (recommended) and the lasagne (definitely would order again).

I was at Ghidotti's for the first time with a work function. We had great bar service, beautiful ambiance, and absolutely wonderful, friendly staff and servers. From when I walked in the door and all staff helped me find our group, to the bar servers continuing to pour as we mingled, to dinner, the service was wonderful. Aside from that, the pork osso bucco was spectacular, the sauce that comes with the bread blew my mind, and I couldn't help but eat my own piece and then that of my neighbor's chocolate cake. All around a great experience in a beautiful restaurant that brought me back to my time in Italy! Thank you!

We stumbled upon Ghidottis during our stay in Park City. How fortunate it turned out to be. The atmosphere was very nice, the service and management excellent, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. In particular, what stood out more than anything was the professional service we received from our server, Tyler Dunn. Not only was he courteous, he knew the menu inside and out and recommended some dishes that were spot on. It's not oftentimes you get a waiter as talented as Tyler. In addition, the General Manager, Greg Walsh, was also excellent. He came up to greet us with our party of 8 sat down for dinner and occasionally checked in with us to ensure everything was going well. At one point, when we asked for something that wasn't on the menu (a salad dressing), he actually went out to a neighboring (sister restaurant next door) to get it for us. Now, that's service at it's best! Five Star experience, definitely make Ghidottis part of your experience while in Park City. We were here for 7 nights and ate out each evening, this restaurant trumped all of the others by a wide margin!

We had a great meal last weekend. We dropped in without a res but they were able to seat our party of SIX in a booth in the lounge immediately. Service was super fast and we had lots of "check ins" by the manager Dave. Great for kids, great menu, good prices. Will definitely be back!

  • James C.

Very disappointing. Bottom line: the quality of the food doesn't correspond to the pricing. At roughly $20-$25 per entree you'd expect much higher quality. Add to that cheesy decor that misses the mark, and you're left with only one redeeming quality in the pleasant staff. Recommendation: put a similar amount of money to better use elsewhere (e.g. High West, Talisker on Main, etc.).

Second time. I had the shrimp scampi which should have been called shrimp skimpy. The smallest meal I've ever been served. The shrimp were small and butterflied to make appear bigger. Like 4 little shrimp and 3 ravioli in a sauce that tasted bland and was watery. I was done eating in like 2 minutes. My wife got the salmon which was not seasoned with plain dry butter noodles. At least she got an adult sized portion. Her noodles and my watery sauce wasn't half bad. Bread was delicious. Dipping sauce delicious. Service ok. Last time for me. $27 for that scampi is a joke.

Tried this place a second time after a very good experience the first and felt that the review needed to be updated. This time it was overpriced Italian food - shrimp with linguine was oily again, veal Marsala was just okay, ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs were all decent portion but just okay. Service was okay. Expect a bit more for the money.

Very good italian food freshly made, which is becoming more and more rare, even in mom & pop shops. Utah is really weird about alcohol, but other than that, the whole dinner was really enjoyable. Great gluten free options and attention to dietary needs. Wonderful menu selection and lots of unique wines.

  • Ron H.

Solid choice for italian. Excellent service Antipasto plate: nice cheese selection, olives have a unique seasoned coating (not a fan), 3 types of meat, Roasted tomatoes and a nice white anchovy. Calamari is cooked perfect and served in a frying pan tableside with a red and white sauce. Bolognese was a little light on the meat but great flavor and a huge portion of house made tagliatelli. Fresh dallop of ricotta ontop was a great touch Pesto sauce was well seasoned Portions are huge, come hungry!. Ambiance was more upscale than it actually is, your welcome to come in with jeans. The lounge area has full menu aervice and the comfy couches are an excellent place to have a relaxed meal.

Love sitting on the patio during the summertime at Ghidottis! Went Saturday night for drinks and dinner w/friends and had fabulous service. Our server David Depoy was great! Gave helpful suggestions for my wine selection and brought out a blanket when it was getting a little cool out later - nice touch! The cheese flight and mussels were delicious! Thanks again for the enjoyable night

Some of the best Italian I've had in my life. The interior is gorgeous, and once seated the food came out quickly, and our waiter was very attentive, even with it being Valentine's night. The only issue I had was with the reservation. They weren't able to seat us until about 25 minutes after the reservation I had booked. Again, this was Valentine's night, so they were slammed.

I've eaten here a few times in the past few years, and will probably keep coming back occasionally as the pizza is very good, the food is decent, there is parking (as compared to Main street which can be tough to find any parking) some beers are very affordable ($4), and we've had both great service and not so great. The food as stated is decent, but way overpriced ( what do I expect for a resort town ???), and it's anything but extraordinary. Pasta is of low quality and mushy, sauces are bland, meats and fish dishes are hit or miss. Sometimes the food has been fine, other times it's been bad, but never even close to great. Manage your expectations, go and enjoy an overpriced "upper end" Italian meal in PC, and enjoy it for what it is.

First night in Park City on vacation and we found this restaurant on Yelp. Everything about this restaurant is five stars from the food to the ambience to the service. They serve bread with a special homemade dipping sauce which was so good we asked for seconds. We ordered the butternut squash gnocchi and the chicken parm- both were delicious! Our server John J was attentive and provided amazing service. I highly recommend Ghidottis!

Food was only so so, ambiance was great, service was poor. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. The beets were chopped into very small cubes, They would have been better if not so small. The salad dressing had a strongly sour flavor, too sour for my liking. The bread came with a garlic balsamic spread that was very tasty. My wife's Caesar salad was only average, she complained that the dressing have very little flavor. For an entree, we shared the lasagna. It was only so, so. The pasta sauce on the lasagna tasted like it came from a can. There were lots of guests dining outside on the patio and the interior is very nicely decorated and well maintained. No complaints there. Our biggest complaint was with the service. There was no one at the reception desk when we arrived and while employees were around, everyone seemed to be oblivious to the fact that we were waiting to be seated (there were many empty tables inside) . When the receptionist did arrive, she spent several minutes selling a gift card to another person before she even acknowledged our existence... All in all, it we were underwhelmed by them entire experience.

Ghidottis was wonderful once again. Great service from Jonathon, food was wonderful. Osso bucco at this restaurant is difficult to beat. Wine recommendation was also excellent. While the decor is overdone Italian by way of Jersey, the restaurant is always loads of fun especially with a group. We have been coming here for years and will be back next year on vacation.

One of the very good Bill White group restaurants. This is a very nice Italian restaurant with an excellent wine list a little off the beaten path of Main Street in the Red Stone shopping center. The Provolone Frico appetizer is unique and absolutely incredible. The clams casino are small but delicious. The fried calamari/shrimp is quite good. They have many excellent pasta dishes and the pork osso bucco, veal Marsala, and roast chicken are very good. For desert you can't miss with the tiramisu or the gelato sampler.

  • Thane Y.

Well this was an experience! Started with the calamari, very tasty. I then had the Chicken soup with Parmesan dumplings. Not bad until I found a piece of plastic in my bowl. Wow! Then the entrees came. Two orders of salmon. But wait I ordered the Veal Marsala, not salmon. The manager was very accommodating and offered us our choice of desserts as a comp. Finally got my entree, in about 15 mins, it was pretty good. They also adjusted the check for the inconveniences of the evening, and for this reason I give them three stars

Food is very good with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Service was excellent which says a lot bc Park City service is always a little sketchy. Homemade pastas are very good, and I would not miss the caesar salad. Gelato for dessert is a must. Sometimes in the local paper they will have a two for one coupon.

My wife and I recently spent a fun afternoon at Ghidotti's. We were there to see the local middle school string band play. The server was very attentive amid the chaos of the live music. We had Chianti wine and meatball sliders. Both were absolutely delicious. We intend to return soon. I don't remember there being TVs all over the place in previous visits. I don't know that televised sports is a good idea in such an elegant, beautiful environment.

After trying 25+ restaurants in the Park City area over the past six months, I decided it was time to write some reviews. Ghidottis is one of Bill White's. And much like the other Bill White restaurants, it has a mass-produced, bland feel to it. The food is tasty, but doesn't stand out; the decor is pleasant, but not unique. If you're in Kimball Junction and want Italian without driving into PC, this place is just fine. (And unlike White's other Italian restaurant, Grappa, the prices are in line with the food.) On a positive note, the pasta is made on-site, and you can tell.

Really good muscles, great service even when busy. The pasta is lovely and the scallops are some of the best around.

Our experience at Ghidotti's was like a Seinfeld episode (but not in a good way). We sat down at 6:45 and did not see a waiter until 7:15. The first courses came out in a reasonable period of time, but our seconds did not arrive until 8:05 pm, and then someone brought them out on a tray that he set up next to our table, but did not serve. We finally just served them ourselves, which was a good thing because no one had showed up at our table as of 8:20. We finally said something to a another server , and the manager came over and apologized. He said he would comp us some entrees and would also take the automatic 20% gratuity (we were a party of ten) off the bill so we could "decide for ourselves what was appropriate" (his exact words). The waiter finally showed up and made the following remarks: "You should have complained to me first." "I was busy with other tables." "Someone would have served you if you had just waited." The kids were melting down from having sat so long and we all just wanted to get on with our lives, and in the confusion of getting out of there we left a cash tip (of 10%, because we figured it was not the waiter's fault that the restaurant was short-staffed) but forgot to pay the bill. Clearly we did not mean to try a dine and dash because if that's what we were up to, we wouldn't have hung out in the entryway waiting for a couple of people in our party to bring the cars around. But the waiter brought the bill to me, clearly furious, and I apologized for our oversight and gave him my credit card . . . and they took this opportunity to put the automatic gratuity back on the bill! I asked the manager why and he just said he comped us four entrees but he would be happy to put the entrees back on the bill and take the gratuity off if I preferred, as if the conversation just a few minutes earlier had never occurred. I just wanted to get out of the place so I paid the tab and we left. When we got home we found that he had only comped us two entrees (less than the automatic gratuity). Any restaurant can get shortstaffed and any waiter can get overloaded. And we can even see how a waiter might act unprofessionally as this waiter did in scolding us, under the stress of a shortstaffing situation. But the response of this outfit to a problem situation was so low-class and unpleasant that if you go to this restaurant, you better pray they aren't having any problems that night. We will be laughing about this awful place for years and telling everyone we know.

Beautiful interior at kimball junction outside park city. Horrible service, manager was completely inept after 70 minutes at the table with only water and wine....ok food was overshadowed, after completely disengaging

I have only eaten "in" Ghidottis twice but have had take out several times. The first time was on my first date with my wife, then a few years later when I asked her to marry me. The setting inside is a beautiful Italian style decor. I especially like it in winter when the fireplace is lit, adds a little extra romance. Its also deceivingly large. When I called to make my reservations for the night I proposed they were very nice and accommodating. Without even asking they gave us a nice quite table by the fireplace which was lit because it was winter. The waiter was very nice and made the night that much better. To sum it up, they treated us like royalty. We received first class service all around. So on to the food..I would say its OK. I wouldn't say its really worth the price. You pay more for the ambiance than the food, in my opinion. They do offer an excellent take out meal that my family gets fairly often. We get two different pastas, one Alfredo and one tomato style sauce. Plus two salads and two orders of bread and I think it comes out to around $25 or so. Excellent deal that feeds our group of usually 8. I would recommend this place for nice intimate dinners though I offer a warning. If you are not failure with Park City's style people often do not dress the part for the place they go. Also they often bring their loud children. Sometimes this is a nice quite place, sometimes not so much. Especially during ski season, family's will stop here straight from the ski slopes in their ski clothes. And I'm sure you have seen how children act after coming off the ski slopes and are starving. Edit: We ordered this a couple weeks ago and I offered to go pick it up. I was wrong about the price, it was closer to $50 for the food described above. Which I still think is a pretty good deal, as I said it feeds the whole family...cheaper than going out.

This place is basically the Olive Garden. It's over priced and the food is actually pretty gross. I've only been once but I would certainly not go back. I went with a group of 4 and no one likes their food at all. Salmon was over cooked and extremely fishy. It came with pasta and that was awful as well. Avoid this place.

Bar food at Ghidotti's is absolutely the best in Park City area. My husband and I have tired of big restaurant meals - both the amount of food and the price. Sit in the bar - comfy with couches - and for $40 before tax and tip and you can have three small plates that are both delicious and not so small - i.e. easily shareable and two drinks. Last night we had the charcuterie plate, fried calamari and a pizza. Tonight - had to come back, it was that good - we had pizza, mussels and an artisan cheese plate. Excellent display and value of each dish. Highly recommended.

I have only tried the take-out "Family Dinner" special, and have never dined inside. I did go inside, however, to pick up the food and it was lovely! I definitely will keep this place in mind if I ever want to go to a nice, romantic dinner in Park City. The Family Dinner take-out special is $24.99 for an entree (choose from a list of about 5), a salad (caesar or house) and some focaccia bread. We ordered two: the lasagna and the farfalle alfredo, with one of each salad. We picked it up about 20 minutes after we had ordered. The bread was not warm, but I think that may have been because of when we got the food. The lasagna was ok. I honestly think Sara Lee's frozen lasagna is more tasty, but it was not bad. I loved the alfredo, but it was not thick like alfredo is expected to be. The sauce had settled to the bottom of the to-go box and it took some mixing to get the pasta evenly coated. It had a great creamy flavor, though, and the spinach made a great addition. It's good for someone who is craving alfredo but isn't in the mood for a really heavy pasta. The salad's were okay as well. I made an olive oil and balsamic dip for the focaccia, which made up for its lack of warmth. Overall, I think the Family Dinner is a great value. For $50 (because we ordered two) there was plenty of food. It says that one is enough to feed four, and if you eat everything - salad and bread with the entree - it is enough food. There is enough of the entree for one serving per person (for 4 people), nothing more. I'm excited to dig into the alfredo leftovers, and I will definitely be back if I'm in the mood for Italian, but I think I will skip the lasagna next time.

Good food and great service. I had the Veal Marsala and it was excellent. It was nice place for a date night for me and my wife as well what looked to be a family friendly place.

This place is just okay. Just okay. Not sure why its rated a 3.5 star. It should be 3 MAX. It has the feel of an Italian chain restaurant, think Maggiano's or Cheesecake Factory, etc. I mean, its okay but if you are looking for something truly special / memorable do not go here. The service of our waitress was really awesome but that does not make up for the lackluster food.

This was the first restaurant we went to when we moved to Park City. Still our go-to place. It is consistently good food. The bar menu is just right when we're in a hurry. It does get busy during the ski season, but any wait is typical for the city. They often have two-for-one specials and lots of great Italian food. Away from the downtown crowds. And there is plenty of parking.

I am visiting Park City for a week and have finally found my favorite restaurant in town ~ Ghidotti's. As a chef, and one who is very selective about Italian, I felt that my meal here was one of the best I've ever had outside of Italy, and surely the best I'd ever had in Park City. Everything about my experience was fantastic ... from the warm greeting when I arrived, to the gorgeous design in the lounge and dining room, to my server Doug who was surely an angel-in-skin, to the wonderful conversation I had with Mark the manager, who kindly briefed me on the exquisite butterfly collection on the walls! The housemade sausage pizza had a crust unlike any I'd ever had, and was incredibly delicious. The house-marinated olives were also excellent, and I would highly recommend their Park City Press cocktail! Take the Pink 7 bus toward Kimball Junction, exit at the Redstone/Newpark stop. Around the Newpark Hotel is an entertainment center where you'll find Kneaders (a great bakery/cafe for breakfast the next morning). Follow that road toward Jupiter Bowl and take a sharp right. You'll soon find Ghidotti's windows on your right as you proceed toward their entrance which is through the patio. If you're craving authentic Italian as I was, even on the 4th of July, please give yourself the gift of dining here, and Buon Appetito!

We ordered the house salad and chef's choice flatbread, followed by the shrimp scampi and ravioli. It was delicious, we shared everything and itwas just enough food for me and my husband. We sat on the patio and it was gorgeous! Our server was attentive and kind. All in all a wonderful experience.

Great place - located in the Redstone center across from the Olympic Park. Food is exceptional, service proactive and friendly. I had the filet mignon while colleagues enjoyed pasta and seafood entrees. All raved about their meals! A little pricey, but that has to be expected in mid-February in Park City.

I enjoyed this restaurant mainly for the atmosphere. It is really beautiful inside. We were a group of 8 and had a large table in the main dining room. I had the Rosemary Chicken. Not really what I had expected, it was more "fried" than roasted seemed like. The mashed potatoes that came with it were delicious. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinner as well. Wine list was nice and enjoyed some desserts. Overall it was a very nice restaurant.

Amazing food! My family and I came to Ghidottis to celebrate my fathers birthday and we couldn't be more happy with our dining experience. Clifford our very professional and knowledgeable waiter was fantastic, he does an excellent job. Special thanks to the General Manager who I'm sorry I don't remember his name but dessert was was very yummy. I will definitely tell all my friends and family about the good time and great food we had at Ghidottis.

Good food. Nice decor. Good location, but a bit pricey, but isnt almost everything in Park City? Four and a half stars is about right. I started with the anti pasto plate which was delicious. Good combo of meats, cheeses and olives. Bread was fresh and served with an Olive Oil herb spread. My wife had the tagliatelle Bolognese and liked it. Thought it was a bit too large of a noodle for the sauce though. I had the Osso Buco. It was something I dont normally order and was very tender and delicious. It was served with Zucchini and Gnocchi which were good also. I had a couple of glasses of Layer Cake Syrah which hit the spot as well. Bottom line. Go here for a nice meal, but plan on dropping $100

Service is kinda slow and the food was mediocre. If you are going to charge $30 per dish I am expecting something fairly amazing in Utah. These are SF prices but the food doesn't even compare.

Awesome lounge area! This is a solid choice for Girls' Night Out if you want to enjoy a few glasses of wine and go home at a reasonable hour. The antipasto plate and calamari are great starters to share.

The worst service ever! I go to a number of BIll White rest. in Park CIty and dont wast your time on this one. They only want to get you in and get you out. Anthony our waiter frankly should be working at the local burger joint. Food was ok not alot to enjoy. Too bad as its a very nice setting. GO elsewhere as when I spoke with the manager it was a polite "Im sorry to hear this we will try to better next time" NO Chance.

We took a group of 12 people here for dinner during Sundance and we loved the place. It is a beautiful restaurant with a great waitstaff. Everyone loved their meals - some of the highlights are were the anti-pasta plate, the Oso Buco, and the Gelato Ice Cream Cones. We had a great waiter, however when it got a little busy he was spread a little thin. They needed a little bit more help in his section.

I just spent 7 days in Park City. Three night in row, I feasted on filet mignon, the best of which was savored at Ghidotti's. From the antipasti Italian cheeses, olives, and sausages, to my limoncello grand finale, my palette did not miss a thing. I am normally a caesar salad fan, but the gorgonzola and grape salad vied for my faves amongst those of this course. My petit filet cooked medium rare, was prepared perfectly, sans mooing. With a table of 8 by the fire on a snowy night and an uber attentive staff of servers, my meal was exquisite! I could only sniff the desserts (chocolate dreamy business with berries) being attacked by my colleagues cuz my pant buttons were bursting. I let the limoncello works its own magic. Ghidottis works well for both the date or the large party dining experience. Elegantly decorated yet subdued with a vanilla-y coat of paint over the columns and the grand fireplace. Half of the clientele wore their best apres ski but you won't feel out of place if you are dressed to the nines with your date.

Fine dining in park city.. Very romantic with giant pillars and Italian art everywhere.. Feels like your in Italy. Very decadent and rich food. Great for a special occasion or special date! Loved it.

This restaurant is absolutely breathtaking...I was a fan from the start just based on the inviting patio, gorgeous chandeliers, and beautiful flowers. The service and the food was as good as the atmosphere. Ysana was our charming and knowledgeable waitress...if you want excellent service put in a request for Ysana! As far as the food we started off with bread that tasted like it came straight out of the oven and a glass of wine (something resembling sauvignon blanc for me). For our appetizer we ordered the shrimp/scallops in a pesto sauce, which we didn't realize came in a ravioli form...but didn't mind much because it was outstanding! Both my dad and I ordered the veal marsala entree (we don't branch out much in our family). I don't typically eat veal, but I may start eating it more often if it tastes as good as it did this evening! The sauce was so incredibly flavorful and the salad on top of the veal made me feel like I was eating something somewhat healthy...riiiggghhht. No dessert for us because we were beyond stuffed, but next time I may skip the bread for their delicious looking flourless chocolate cake, which I'm sure is incredible since Ghidottis seems to do everything well!

I stopped in for a light dinner. I ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce. It was very watery and tasteless. I ordered a glass of wine, it was flat and oxidized, it had been open for some time.

We were in town from California for an ice hockey tournament and had just finished a Sunday afternoon of tubing nearby at Gorgoza Park. I made a last minute phone call at about 5:30pm to make a reservation for 20-25 (teens & adults). When Greg got on the phone he said he would be happy to make room for us in about 15 minutes! Honestly we were just looking something not fast -food. The minute I walked in the door I knew we were in a special place - great smells coming from the kitchen and a warm welcome from the staff. We were set up with two large tables in the bar. The boys had their own table and could not have been happier with the menu and the delicious bread. The adults were blown away by the quality of the food and the service (Laura?). Greg brought by an order of the meatball sliders that were obviously simmered in a "Sunday sauce". They were delicious and unbelievably tender. I had the pork Osso Bucco which was great - as was everything else we ordered. The anti-pasto app is really unbelievable. I will surely be back next time we are in town. The main portion of the restaurant was beautiful! Thanks for a great surprise!

I have driven by this restaurant so many times and had no idea what a large restaurant it was. Beautiful, yet elaborate decor. We were seated in a perfect little booth and were instantly greeted by our server, who I give an A+. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server did not make us feel like there was any hurry. The assistant manager brought out a wonderful anti pasto place on the house that was very delicious. I enjoyed the house salad (very wonderful house dressing) and the pasta that I tried the Penne with italian sausage was good. I will definitely be back to furthur explore this menu.

Generally impressed with the food and the service. Caesar salad was basic. Chicken soup was fantastic.I had the pasta bolognese. Nothing to write home about, but it was ok. The chicken parm, filet and salmon were all very good. I would get the chicken next time. Gnocchi was good, but the sauce was bland.

If you are looking for a fantastic restaurant try Ghidottis. It is in a strip mall of all places, but a total find. The best lasagna I have had, ever. It melts in your mouth. They let us dine by the fireplace in the bar. Loved it. Oh, they have some crazy "family" take out special, lasagna for four people with salad, to go, for $20. Perfect for bringing back to your condo. I told the manager of this place about Yelp, even showed him Yelp on my phone. He was a big fan.

Had reservation -- stood at front podium 15 minutes while take out orders slowly processed-- finally another hostess showed up, went to set up our table, while standing there first hostess then took group behind us to that table-- then told that first hostess must have thought that group behind us was part of our group??-- then was taken to set up table in noisy area-- brought in 20 year old Amarone -- special evening-- never offered to decant, of course charged $15 corkage-- food just ok-- if they are trying to be an upscale choice in park city they should have staff who have some idea what fine dining means-- we live here, no reason to hurry back

Did I just walk into the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been too? Wow, no corner was cut in the creation of this restaurant. Everything from the beautiful reception area, amazing bar and the elegant drapes. Did I mention the food? Fresh house made pastas, true fresh sauces, and the most extensive wine by the glass selection I have seen in a while. The best part, parking, wow, that was easy for nowhere to "Park City". Thanks for the experience, we will be back.

Terrific food at an excellent price. It is a little further out of town. The 'cheese in a pan' appetizer thing is amazing! You can get 'home style' Italian or fancier. My teenagers love the desserts but I never have room.

Great ambiance and good food. The price is steep but if you want to drop some money for a nice evening it's worth it. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and take care of you very well and are up for some friendly conversation. All and all it's a good time if you have the cash.

first of all I DO NOT LIKE THIS PLACE AS A RESTAURANT TO GO TO DINNER....understand that i find the service and the food (in terms of a nice dinner) unpaletable and irrehensible....BUT.....I LIKE TO HANG OUT IN THE BAR/LOBBY AREA AND DRINK WINE AND EAT APPETIZERS....the decor is nice, and the lobby is nice and the couches are great to sit on with friends and have some drinks and watch the wierd fire themed landscaping outside....also there is a coldstone next door incase the appetizers weren't enough for you...plus, the assistant chef in the kitchen is SUPER HOT...so try it....if you're in park city, let's be realistic, you don't have many other options :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
